Pushing the reset button does NOT reset the cartridges. There is a green tab on the left side of the cartridges, (I thought this was the button) and a very small white button on the top right side of the cartridge set. The description on where the "reset button" is, is not clear. System works fine but it is very difficult to reset the cartridges. It works beautifully, just as advertised! The chips reset the software to recognize the cartridges as full as soon as they get close to showing low. This one installed very quickly, and has worked flawlessly. Worth the money! I had previously installed a less expensive CIS in my 1400. In retrospect, I wish I had bought this with the ink wells filled for the extra $19.99, as it was a bit of a chore to fill them, although pretty easy.
If you haven't installed one of these before, I suggest watching a YouTube video on this, as placement of the tubing can be a challenge. Finally, I tried this one and it works great! The instructions are a bit vague, but reading between the lines got me to the end.
